Beuchat Canada is proud to encourage, support and sponsor Nathalie Hebert in her freediving practises and competitions. But who is Nathalie?

Nathalie started freediving in the Summer of 2007. In 2008, she was already participating in provincial competitions and quickly moved on to national freediving competitions.

In 2010, she earned the title of national champion in Canada during the Montreal freediving competitions.

She was selected to be part of the Canadian team representing Canada at world freediving competitions in Kalamata, Greece, in 2010. She earned a 7th place worldwide in “single” and a gold medal in “team”.

2011 was also a good year for Nathalie Hebert. She broke the Quebec record for “dynamic no fins” with a 102 meters, while the previous record was 82 meters.

Last month, she was in France to train with world champion Umberto Pelizaari in one of the most amazing pools in the world for scuba diving and freediving.

On the picture below, we see Canadian champion Nathalie Hebert freediving, under ice, with a 5mm Beuchat wetsuit. It was at Morrison quarry, just North of Ottawa.

Below. Nathalie is just trying to make us wonder… There is snow in Montreal but that doesn’t stop her from putting her fins on! And… The Beuchat hat is warm!

Nathalie Hebert is president of the CASM, the Montreal freediving club. She’s also a PADI scuba diving instructor at Beuchat’s Montreal dealer, Total Diving.

Congratulations for all your successes, Nathalie! And good luck in 2012!

Canadian scuba divers went snorkeling with the manatees, north of Orlando in Florida, after the annual scuba diving industry convention (the “DEMA Show”) last November.

The Beuchat wetsuits were popular! Paul Boissinot, from Quebec City, himself a former wetsuit designer and manufacturer, was impressed with the comfort and warmth of these Beuchat scuba diving and snorkeling wetsuits.

The Chief diving officer at the Quebec Aquarium, Paul Boissinot, did many dives with his Beuchat Masterlift Tek BCD in cold salt water. In fact, he’s done 1326 of them!

His old Beuchat BCD earned its right to retire, so Paul chose… A new Beuchat Masterlift X-Air Tek BCD!

“I’ve never seen a BCD as durable, reliable and comfortable. I’m happy to dive with the new one!” declared Paul Boissinot.

In fact, he even keeps his old Beuchat BCD, “just in case”. It’s still good to dive even after 1326 dives in harsh conditions.
